Gary started building at the age of 17 and by the age of 21 was a full-fledged Journeyman builder in Chicago, Illinois.

In 1985 Gary and his family moved to Northern Michigan where his two sons started in the construction trade. Within a couple years Bassett Point Construction was established.

Together, Gary and his sons specialize in custom stick-built, conventionally framed houses (no trusses unless specified) that are just as beautiful to look at as they are to live in.
